CAMP NOTES

• Camp sessions are typically 9AM-4PM Monday through Friday

• Camps held at ROYAL Theatre Company's Main Street Studio – 308 West Main Street, Mason

• Campers should pack a "nut-free" lunch each day and bring a water bottle

• Comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes are recommended

• Minimum of 5 Campers Per Week /Maximum of 20.

• NOTE: No refunds or credits given unless a medical emergency or waiting list exists. Registration closes one week prior to camp. An informational email will be sent to all campers once registration is closed (approximately 3 days before camp begins)

Camp Descriptions:

June 17 - 21, 2024 - Holy Broadway!

Get ready to lift up arousing praise to these holy hits from popular shows including Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Children of Eden, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Participants will learn vocals, blocking, choreography, and acting techniques which will all be showcased in a final performance at the end of the week. Ages 10 and up.

 

July 22- 26, 2024 - Food Glorious Food!

Pull up a seat for a delicious sampling of tasty tunes! We're serving up culinary classics from Oliver, Hairspray, The Waitress, Mrs. Doubtfire, How to Succeed, Fame, and Beauty and the Beast. Participants will learn vocals, blocking, choreography, and acting techniques which will all be showcased in a final performance at the end of the week. Make your reservation today!  Ages 10 and up.

 

July 8 -12, 2024 - The Best of Broadway!

Come take a journey through some of the more modern and newest musicals to hit the stage! Featured shows will include: Rent, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Mrs. Doubtfire, Moulin Rouge, and Pippin. Participants will learn vocals, blocking, choreography, and acting techniques which will all be showcased in a final performance at the end of the week.  Ages 10 and up.

 

About our Instructors:

Nick Washington

Nick has worked with ROYAL for over 14 years.  He is a native of the Cincinnati area and has a wife and two children.  Nick teaches Fifth Grade STEM here in Mason City Schools.  He has a Bachelor's of Science from Xavier University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.  In his spare time he enjoys playing piano, music ministry at church, songwriting and recording, swimming, watching movies and sports, reading, and good food with family and friends.

Brooke Partin

Brooke is 21 years old and has appeared in many shows with ROYAL over the years. She graduated from Leaves of Learning and is currently a musical theatre major at Western Kentucky University. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys singing, art, makeup, playing with her dog and spending time with her friends and family. She is excited to be back working with the camps again this summer.

Jenn Martin

Jennifer Martin is so excited to be back at ROYAL working alongside Mr. Washington. Jennifer is a K-4 teacher at Maple Dale Elementary and co-owns her own theater company in Maineville called Lumos Players. Jennifer has 3 children (Lillie, Oliver, and Elliot) and lives in Mason.
