ROYAL regularly brings in professionals working in the field. We are thrilled to offer the following College Audition Prep Workshop featuring an alumni of ROYAL Theatre Company! Brent Knipper had a variety of roles in ROYAL shows including Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka, Old Deuteronomy in Cats, Mr. Macafee in Bye Bye Birdie, Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical, and the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz.  If your actor has an interest in continuing musical theatre past high school, this workshop will help you learn the ins and outs of the college audition process.

College Audition Prep Workshop

For High School or College age students wanting to learn skills necessary to apply, audition, and interview for top collegiate programs. During the program, we will go over everyone's resume, monologue/vocal book, and overall audition prep. During the time together every student would have the opportunity to do their whole audition packet and get instruction and guidance.

*Please bring song(s) and monologue(s) ready to perform. Accompanist provided. Resume and headshots also will be reviewed.

Brent Knipper, BFA Musical Theatre, Ball State University

Asst. Recruitment Coordinator for Ball State's Dept. of Theatre and Dance (4 Years), worked closely in workshops, cabarets, musicals, plays, and showcases with industry professionals such as Bill Osetek (Artistic Directory Drury Lane Oakbrook Chicago), Sutton Foster (2 Time Tony Award Winner), Rachel Hoffman (Casting Director Telsey and Company), Michael Rafter (Broadway Music Director), Eric Emery (L.A. Casting Manager), Billy Murphy (Casting Director ABC Television) and others.

Broadway Connection teachers are the stars of every Broadway tour and Broadway production, and they are thrilled to share insider information on current auditions, Broadway trends, university programs, dancing in films and dance companies and so much more. In an intimate and educational learning environment, students are exposed to an exclusive "behind-the-scenes" look at the professional world of Broadway. Through Broadway Connection, students everywhere can learn their true potential and be a part of the "magic" of Broadway!

Broadway Connection workshops are offered once or twice a year when specific shows are featured at the Aronoff.
