Announcing Auditions for ROYAL's 

Dare To Dream Musical Spectacular!

The ROYAL Theatre Company is excited to announce that we will hold auditions on February 18th & February 19th for our Dare To Dream Musical Spectacular!

About the Show:

Day-O! Calling all who Dare to Dream how wickedly amazing it will be to perform on the Memorial Hall stage!

Just think about the world we're gonna make...A crash of drums and a flash of light....Just trust your instincts, close your eyes and leap! Ya' never know - you could be part of something magical. Whether you wish upon a star or click your heels three times, if you just take a chance, it's possible. Let's see how far you'll go!

Join us for this original and creative production. It will be a season you will love, singing the songs you dare to dream of performing. Together, Let's Touch the Sky!

Audition Information/Requirements:

Audition Dates/Times: Select one time slot on Tuesday, February 18 OR Wednesday, February 19 between 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Deadline to Sign Up: Submit your audition sign up by 5:00 PM on Friday, February 14

Audition Location: Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, OH 45040

Audition Requirements:

• You must be at least 6 years old to audition. If you have questions, contact production@royaltheatrecompany.com
• You must complete the online audition form and submit your headshot (does not need to be a professional photo) with your online audition form. No walk-ins will be accepted.
• You will be asked to perform one musical theatre song of your choice from these options: 

   

  Boys Ages 6-11

  Teen Boys Ages 12-18

  All Girls Ages 6-18

Audition Process:

• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time slot and come directly to the registration desk.
• Please note that although audition time slots are listed in 20-minute increments, performers will be called in to audition one-at-a-time during your chosen time window. Therefore, we recommend that you bring a quiet activity for while you wait.
• You are able to leave immediately after your audition is complete. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT come to your in-person audition if you feel sick. Please call Karen Kilgore at 513.295.4541 if that should happen.

If you have a conflict with the audition schedule, you may submit a video audition. You will need to complete the online registration form (including a headshot) by following this link to audition sign-ups (select “Video Audition”) and send your video to production@ROYALTheatreCompany.com by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18 at the latest. Videos received after this deadline will NOT be considered.

Cast List will be posted on March 3rd by 5:00 PM

If cast in the show, You MUST accept/decline your role by Thursday, March 6 at 5:00 PM. To accept/decline, email YOUR NAME and “ACCEPT” or “DECLINE” in your SUBJECT LINE to production@ROYALTheatreCompany.com.

Rehearsals:

• If cast in this show, performers must be able to attend rehearsals on Tuesdays from 6-9 PM, Thursdays from 6-9 PM (April and  May only), and Sundays from 1-5 PM. Please note: We may occasionally need to extend the duration of a rehearsal, but this will be communicated in advance. Also, not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. We will provide a schedule detailing who needs to attend each rehearsal.
• Rehearsals will be held at ROYAL Theatre Company’s studio (308 W. Main St., Mason, OH)
• First Rehearsal: Tuesday, March 11th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at ROYAL Theatre Company (308 W. Main St., Mason, OH 45040)
• Mandatory Informational Meeting for Parents/Guardians: Sunday, March 9 at 1:30pm at the Mason Community Center Senior Center Room, 6050 Mason Montgomery Road, Mason, OH 45040.
• The entire cast rehearses at Memorial Hall May 27-29 from 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM each night. This is known as Tech Week and is mandatory for all cast, unless there is an emergency or mandatory school event for a grade

Parent Volunteer Requirements: A parent/guardian of each cast member must:

• Volunteer for 8 pre-show hours
• Volunteer for 3 volunteer time slots during the show/tech week (various jobs available)
• Volunteer with set move-in (Tues., May 27) AND set strike (TBD - either Friday, May 30, after the event or early Saturday morning, May 31) 

Performance Date:  May 30, 2025

Show Location: Memorial Hall (1225 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH)

Participation Fee: $300 per performer to be paid by March 9th (includes costume fee). More details will be provided to those cast in the show.
